Okay, so I came into the salon 7/31 I was told no one was barely there and if I came I would be seated right away, which was a lie then to top it off I was waiting for about 30minutes one of the stylist just got done but then sat down and yet no one greeted me, I walked out then I heard them ask mami are you leaving?! I will not be coming there ever again even though they looked like they did nice job with the hair, I’m going to pass, mannerisms is everything!!!!

People usually say Dominicans put relaxers in their products and I tried to give the benefit of the doubt . As an African American , I started going here out of the convenience due being a full time med student. Ever since going here my hair has completely fell out. It is no longer full and completely damaged . I am not sure what they are using to sooth out the hair but it’s definitely something and they do it behind your back. There’s no communication on what conditioner or shampoo they are using . Although the short term results is good the long term effects is horrible. Im truly disappointed . Won’t be going back .

Let me start by saying these ladies can do hair. Both styles I've tried, I walked out feeling like a baddie. BUT if you are a natural hair woman, especially a Black woman be cautious! My 1st visit I got a wash, deep condition, and blow out. During the wash I smelled something like apple cider vinegar. I was worried they put something in my hair, I noticed more shedding than normal afterwards. So I waited until I washed at home it to see. My curls came back but my roots were a bit straighter than normal and dry, I figured it was nothing. Second time I got wash, regular condition, and curls. Again I smelled something like apple cider vinegar during the wash. My curls came out beautiful but shedding again when I touched it (worse with a brush). When I washed at home this time, the moment water hit my hair it smelled like chemicals, I can't explain the smell. It wasn't shedding it was coming out at the root! A lot came out (for my hair). I washed it a week later and more hair was coming out, follicle and all. And my curl pattern is gone. For some reason Google won't let me post a before and after pic. What was used in my hair caused a reaction. Because I'm natural, on 1st glance my hair looks hard to maintain. But I have thin hair a little heat is all it takes, which is why I am 15+ years natural! If there's any denial or blame on me, I figured it would come but I know my hair and I know when its having a reaction. I'm not saying they used a relaxer so please don't assume that. It could be too much silicone or ammonium lauryl sulfate or any other harsh ingredient but either way its wayyy too harsh in my opinion not to disclose to consumers. I'm not bald or anything and I can't tell how much hair loss I will suffer until it stops falling out. I'm not saying don't go to them, all I'm saying is ask what they're using and speak up if you think something is off or you believe it won't work for you. The ladies there were friendly, quick, and styled me beautifully each time but my hair can't take a return. UPDATE: I went to 3 other locations each one I got a consultation without giving background. All 3 asked if I put chemicals in my hair after hearing my story they strongly hinted chemicals were used. 1 place was a hair school and I had the pleasure of being a teaching tool (with permission). The class got to crowd around and see the diffrent textures in my hair, point out the damage, and try to guess what chemicals could have been used. I've tried to get my hair tested but its hard to find a location so I am letting it go. It was still breaking off more than normal after a few months and my curls on the end are very loose compared to my new growth. Needless to say I've cut it to a layered bob and I'm getting it back to health. NeverAgain
